Our Cameron® Style Type “H” Back Pressure Valves are used to hold well pressure when any surface flow control device maintenance is necessary. They are specifically used when the wellhead/Christmas tree is installed and the blowout preventer is removed. These valves are designed to allow the flow of liquids downhole into the tubing while preventing any from returning back to surface.
We have manufactured all Type "H" back pressure valves in-house since 1973 and they are available in many sizes and materials. We stock sizes from 1 ¼” OD all the way up to 6 11/16” OD in 4130 Alloy trim, 17-4 SS trim, and 718 Inconel trim.
Material classes (API 6A/NACE MR0175) are as follows:
4130 Alloy = AA, DD
17-4 SS = EE, FF
718 Inconel = HH
Working Pressures are 15,000 PSI on 1 ¼”-5” OD and 10,000 PSI on sizes greater than 5” OD.
